Why is this course important?

The ICAgile Certified Professional Agile Coaching (ACC)  online course provides a deep dive into the world of agile coaching. Making yourself more valuable to your organisation by helping them become the best they can be by using the new skills you will gain. As the ICAgile Professional in Agile Coaching is the most well known Agile Coaching certification in the market, you can improve your internal and external career prospects. 

OBJECTIVES
  • Coaching – Learn the basics of Professional Coaching from ICF Certified Coaches. Competencies
    you will start to build: Active Listening, Powerful Questions, Emotional Intelligence, Presence and Clean Feedback.
  • Facilitate LearningUsing Training from the BACK of the Room! techniques we will explore adult learning techniques culminating in creating a new learning experience you will be able to use. During this module, you will also learn the core skills of a good mentor and how it is different from coaching and consulting.
  • Serving the team – Using several Agile Coaching tools adapted from various team coaching practices from experts in the field. We will explore topics such as the drivers for high performance, how to launch a team, navigate change, and, most importantly, manage an engagement.
  • Integration – The last module brings the learnings from the different competencies together and teaches you how to move between stances and what tools to use at which point of your agile coaching journey.
Audience

Agile Coaches or aspiring coaches with a passion for servant leadership and a desire to learn and practice facilitation, professional coaching, mentoring, and teaching in service of Agile teams. Other relevant roles include Scrum Masters, Iteration Managers and Agile Project Managers.

Certification

The course is assessed by the instructor(s). You must complete a basic 10-minute coaching conversation to complete the course; however, the instructors will work with you until this is possible.

Please note: You will only receive the ICAgile Professional Agile Coaching Certification (ACC)when the pre-work and four modules have been completed.

 

Duration

The course is split into four core modules over two intensive days

pre-Work

Although it is not a formal prerequisite, we have found that this certification is best pursued after an Agile foundation course such as Scrum Foundations, Agile Fundamentals or CSM/PSM. 

Pre-work is provided and is focused on self-reflection using the Agile Coaching Growth Wheel. There is also a pre-call to support you in completing the prework and setting you up for success during the training.

John barratt

John loves seeing individuals, teams and organisations become the best they can be. He does this using a mixture of coaching approaches embedded with the agile mindset. John spends most of his time supporting organisation to descale and self-organise relying heavily on the Systemic Modelling skills he learnt through his ongoing training from Caitlin Walker.

RICKARD JONES

Rickard Jones has over 20 years of professional services experience in Agile coach, trainer and program lead. With an Agile mindset, values, principles, and practices, he has collaborated with many organisations, teams, and individuals to support them on their complex journey to become Agile.

He goes where the value need is, having previously been an XP developer, programme manager, change manager, development manager, scrum master and transformation lead. Despite an unhealthy obsession with learning, he believes nothing beats a coaching journey of in-the-field practical experience.

Not only is Rickard one of the authors of the AgileHR Manifesto, but he is also an international conference speaker, Enterprise Agile Coach, Certified Scrum Trainer (CST)Certified Team Coach, Program Lead, Online Remote Facilitator, LeSS Trainer and ICAgile Trainer.
